Flat White

Flat White

Flat white is a coffee drink based on espresso with microfoam of steamed milk. It is close to a latte but smaller in volume and with less microfoam. Flat white has a higher proportion of coffee to milk, allowing the espresso to dominate the flavour while being supported by the milk.

The name "flat white coffee", probably, came from Australia. The earliest documented references to modern beverage date back to Sydney in the middle 80s. With the flat white becoming increasingly well known globally, large coffee shop chains such as Starbucks, Costa Coffee and Caffè Nero added flat whites to their menus. By the way, this is the favourite coffee drink of Coffeestics team.

Flat white is traditionally served in a ceramic cup with a saucer.
